Things They Don’t Tell You About Being Pregnant
Hormones cause many changes.

Your boobs leak towards the end of your pregnancy it is not milk that leak it is actually colostrum. It’s a Goldie yellow colour. It’s extremely high in protein and is needed for the baby at birth to help make their immune system stronger. Actual milk does not come from your breast until a few days after baby is born.
During your entire pregnancy its normal to have discharge in your undies. Its nothing to be concerned about its coming because during pregnancy you have an increased hormone of oestrogen. You may have noticed this discharge slightly before you have got your period or during ovulation.
It is conman to have slight early bleeding in pregnancy. Slight being that you do not need to wear a pad. This is either caused by the egg borrowing into the utro wall, or could be your body thinking it is not pregnant and continuing with you period which is called a false period, this normally only last for the first 12-14 weeks of pregnancy. Although a lot of women will experience light bleeding during their entire pregnancy giving birth to a healthy child.
Drinking caffeine will NOT harm your baby unless you drink like 10 litres a day in which case you need help because that’s just gross! The most it will do is make baby hypoactive and won’t stop kicking you in the ribs for the next hour.
You experience a lot of headaches during pregnancy; this is also caused by the level of oestrogen. Be warned however that excessive headaches are a sign of preeclampsia which need to be checked out.
Your pimples and blackheads don’t always clear up being pregnant, in fact my face broke out horribly during the pregnancy of my son!
You fart a lot!
During the end of your pregnancy you may feel a lot of soreness and discomfort in between your legs, to the point where you can barely stand up from the pain, this is normal and because you pelvis is expending making room to allow baby through
Its common to experience insomnia during pregnancy this could either be caused from the normal worries or being uncomfortable or it could be caused by your hormones

I just wanted to say that breastfeeding does not cause pain in your nipples… unless you are not latching the child on correctly. With my eldest son, I breastfed for 3 weeks, by the time I left the hospital my nipples were cracked and bleeding. The nurses at the hospital told me I was latching him on correctly. It was horrible and not something I wanted to do for very long.
With my second child I was surrounded by nurses who were experianced with breastfeeding and I had a lactation consultant at my finger tips. I have been breastfeeding now for 3 months and I have had NO nipple pain at all. Anyone who has nipple pain should see a lactation consultant and check to see if they are having the child latch on right.
Other than this, The article was great and very well researched. It will help a lot of pregnant women on their journey of becomeing a parent.
