Walking is a great way for pregnant women to keep fit through a low impact exercise.
Walking is a great way for pregnant women to keep fit through a low impact exercise. This is because it is likely that you will need to stop other forms of exercise as they may cause problems during pregnancy.
As you will be gaining weight when pregnant it is important that you continue to walk in a natural position, standing tall with your shoulders back and not hunched over as this can cause back pain and problems.
If it is too warm, cold or if there are too many steep hills outside then it would be best to consider walking inside, for example walking on a treadmill. You will need to make sure that there are appropriate conditions for you to go walking, as you do not want to overheat too quickly and cause any harm to you or your baby.
You may also need to buy a new pair of shoes as they will need to be much more shock absorbent and you may find that you need a bigger size if your feet swell up.
Walking is the perfect form of exercise that you can continue doing throughout your pregnancy, however make sure that you get your doctors permission first, you need to take care of you and your baby!
