As Long as I’m Comfortable with, as Hard as I’m Comfortable with

Why I think fitness expert Jillian Micheals is giving bad advice.

Work out as hard as you can, as long as you can.

That what fitness guru Jillian Micheals says.

I don’t have a TV show or nuttin’ but I think that’s bad advice.

If I walked into a gym with the idea of working out as hard as I could as long as I could, I’d turn around and walk right out.

I don’t like the word “work”  “Work” is no fun.

I go into the gym with the attitude “I’m going to work out as hard as I’m comfortable with for as long as I’m comfortable with”

Sounds kind of lazy doesn’t it.

I don’t know when or  how the word “comfortable” got a bad rap. Comfortable is good.

Some people believe you have to grunt and groan and sweat and breathe hard to get any worthwhile exercise.

To quote the fiber commercial, those people are what I like to call “wrong”

Going in with the idea that I’m going to work out as hard as I’m comfortable with for as long as I’m comfortable with makes me feel good. It makes me want to go to the gym. It makes it seem fun.

“As hard as I can as long as I can?” No thanks

Meet me on the couch.
