Cleveland Browns Release Ben Tate

The Browns have released their prized free agent RB.

 And the other shoe has dropped. After speaking out publicly, complaining about his role in the offense, Ben Tate has been released by the Cleveland Browns.Tate is making a bargain $1 million guarenteed this yea after signing a 2 year $6.2 million dollar deal.


 Tate had voiced his displeasure with the Browns, saying they considered him to be ‘just a number.’ When Coach Pettine was asked if he had san attitude problem, Pettine responded, “Nothing I want to discuss here.” Tate joing Legarrette Blount in Pittsburgh as being two of the more disgruntled running back in recent memory. That being said, there are still some teams who may have need of his services ( Calling the Indianaplolis Colts).

 Meanwhile, the Browns are determined to use their two headed tandem of Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West. Pettine remains high on both backs , even though Cowell fumbled in the first half of last Sunday’s game loss to the Texans.

Time will tell if this decision is the right one.
