Understanding portion control is very important, most people have no idea how much of a particular food should really be eating. Here are some foods that benefit you in moderation:

If you tend to eat at home, you can learn to control your portions with a little help from your dishes. Start by selecting the smaller plates, cups and bowls in your cabinets, then you should measure exactly how much each has (usually in ounces).

Then compare the amounts of the recommended serving sizes for your favorite foods. It is not uncommon to discover that your measurements are way off base, that leads you to earn even more on your plate than you really want. When serving food, you should go to these smaller plates and bowls, food dish will take over and you will feel like you’re eating more.

The best nutritionists recommend preparing meals in bulk for portion control, and then placed in portions and stored for later consumption. For example, you could take a few minutes to divide the whole box of cereal in bags to serve (find the recommended serving size on the nutrition label).

This makes it easier for you to eat just enough without overdoing it. Also you can save time - grab a bag and start eating! Your best option is to request a container so you can take the food once it is served. Immediately transfer at least half of each plate. We will take a delight to work the next day. Of course, neither side should take them vegetables. Feel free to eat the vegetables immediately!

Some dieters use a food scale, which helps them despite only a certain amount of food. For others, this is not exactly practical. Instead, learn to identify the appropriate serving size by comparing different foods.

For example to have portion control, 1 teaspoon margarine or butter is about the same size as a given. A baked potato should be the height of a standard computer mouse. Thirty grams of chocolate is approximately the size of a box of floss.
