A new progress photo!

I have taken the decision to include more photos when I write posts like these, because I know it’s all very well me talking about how I’m getting on, but you really want to see the difference between then and now, don’t you? I weigh 11 stones and 5 pounds at the moment, which is a lot lighter than my heaviest weight which I estimate to be around 20 stones.

Here is a photo of me at almost my heaviest (although I don’t have any photos of me at my ACTUAL heaviest weight) and me at my slimmest, which is now. 

I can’t even tell you how proud I am to be able to show you this photo. I would like as many people to see it as possible, because I know that when I see photos of people who have lost weight, it makes me think that if they can do it everyone would be able to do it. So, if you feel like sharing this link anywhere, do feel free. I would very much like to spread the word to show people what they can do if only they put their mind to it.

I am quite proud of myself today, because I went to the cinema for the first time in a couple of months. I didn’t get any popcorn, and that is quite unusual for me. I usually get a lot of it, and will then go way over my calories for the day. But, I took a small healthy snack with me, and a bottle of water, and I didn’t get any urges to have snacks apart from the one I took with me, which is a really unusual thing to happen to me.

I have done a fair amount of exercise today. I went for a nice walk this morning, and then managed a good fifty minutes on the exercise bike this afternoon. I love doing that, because I can do anything that I like whilst I’m doing it, and I usually catch up with some reading or something on the TV. It means I can do that and get exercise out of the way all at the same time, so when it’s all done I’m free to carry on with a bit of work, or at least relax if I don’t have any work to do at the time. 

It’s my 22nd birthday in just over a week, and I had sort of hoped that I would have been able to reach my goal weight by then. I am aware that this is no longer going to be possible, as I still have nine pounds to go, but in the grand scheme of the amount of weight that I have managed to lose overall, that is very little left so I think I’ve done really well to be able to almost be at my goal weight at all. 

I think my next aim is going to have to be Christmas. That gives me a fair amount of time between now and then to be able to sort myself out. There’s no real rush; I just need to take things easy and make sure that I do my absolute best to get fit and healthy.

  3. Well, happy birthday!! You went a long way and you look very healthy right now. Just continue to enjoy the healthy lifestyle you have created for yourself and the weight will take care of itself. And don’t make yourself lose too much, being too slim can be unhealthy as well. Once again congratulations!
