Weight Loss Blog: 5/10

How am I getting on then?

So, I know that I don’t blog as much as I probably should anymore, but I feel as though today’s achievement deserves a blog. I have now lost 99 pounds, which means that there is only one more pound to lose before I have managed to lose 100! This is going to be a very big moment for me, and something that I can be proud of when that time comes.

I have had a difficult couple of days with regards to snacks, because it is just seeming as though there is temptation wherever I turn which is never a good thing. My brother is underweight, and as a result of that I am trying to get him to eat more food each day. However, by buying him food to eat it means that I am putting myself in the way of temptation which never ends well. I ended up eating a Bakewell tart last night, and two pancakes and a toffee crisp tonight, which just should never have happened. It did not impact on the scales when I weighed myself this morning, but I knew that it wouldn’t because I had done a lot of exercise during the day which meant that I could just about afford to eat a little bit more, however it also meant that I didn’t lose any weight in the last two days which I can’t really start getting into the habit of. I would very much like to be at my goal weight before Christmas and that means that I have to try to stay on track as much as possible so that I will definitely be able to achieve this.

I am doing very well now that my Mum is on Slimming World. Meals are now very low calorie and are nice at the same time, so that is much more positive than in the past. Literally the only thing that I need to think about now is my snacking after dinner, as that is the only problem that I am having these days. One of the things that I am thinking about doing to try to improve this issue is having my dinner a little bit later, as that means that I don’t have as much time to snack, and by the time I am thinking about doing so it is pretty much time for me to go to bed.

I have also started reading a little bit more, and I think that this is helping, Keeping busy is one of the best things that I can do to try and lose weight, and it does seem to work quite well for me. I bought myself a colouring book as well, even though that sounds a bit mad, but I find it a lot easier to keep my mind off snacking when I have engaged my hands and mind onto other things. So, I only have six more pounds that I have to lose, and I am hoping that this is something that I can do well in time for Christmas so that I will be able to get into a nice dress for the occasion. I want this to be the first New Year in my entire life that I haven’t gone into it thinking that I have to lose weight. I am sure that I can do it.

  1. Good share.

  2. Well written today

  3. well done to you, do not be too hard on yourself where treats are eaten, have a small treat each day, as long as it is in your calorie count and try to eat the treat in the day as food eaten at night will turn to fat as you do not burn calories at night, but you have done really well.

  4. Thank you for this.

  5. Excellent article. My wife consumes less carbohydrates and calories then I do, but she weighs more because of her slow metabolism.

When I was younger, I was able to eat a big meal just before bed without gaining any weight. Those days are gone.
