The skin, the largest organ of the human body, yet overlooked in ouy day to day lives. Few realize the skin’s great importance and the role it plays in keeping us alive. the skin protects us from pathogens, heals our wounds, helps rid our bodies of toxins, helps keep us warm, and even cools us dowm. Yes, our skin is amazing, but it does need some help. There are three layers of skin; the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis. There are several things that can harm these layers and your body. one of the most common and dangerous is skin cancer. cancer is an abnormal and acellerated growth and production of cells. this can be cause when your skin is exposed to harmfull UV rays from the sun. the risk of skin cancer can be greatly reduced by doing one simple thing, using sunscrean. another thing we can do to help our skin is to care for our injuries properly. The improper care of cuts and scrapes lead to scars. These scars are thin spots in our our skin that can easily be re-damaged.Our skin is wonderful.Could you imagine the troubles our body would have if it wasn’t for our beautiful skin?
