You need to follow certain steps to ensure safety and protection from H1N1 virus.
Here are 10 swine flu prevention tips with a difference.
- If one of your family member in your own house gets infected from swine flu, then you have to be on your toes. There’s every chance that you might get infected too. Precautionary measures should be at the highest. Use separate soap, to wash the eating utensils of a swine flu patient. In fact, I must add that the soap has to be medicated.
- Keep the eating utensils separately. Once the swine flu patient finish eating her meals, wash the eating utensils immediately so that the H1N1 virus do not spread to other places in your house.
- Wear a mask, when you visit a swine flu patient, whether she is in hospital, or at your house.
- Never touch the bed of swine flu patient. Swine flu germs may be lurking somewhere in the bed sheet, or under the bed. And if you happen to touch those germs, then you give yourself every chance of getting infected. Hand gloves are recommended while you visit your swine flu infected family patient.
- Never embrace your patient out of deep emotion. You may want to embrace if she is your close family member. If you happen to embrace her, the swine flu germs if present on the patient’s cloth, will get transferred to your cloth. There’s no harm if the swine flu germs remain on your cloth, but as soon as you touch those H1N1 Viral germs from your naked hand, and bring your hand to touch your nose, eyes, or mouth, you would certainly get infected.
- Wash you cloth with a medicated soap, after your visit at a swine flu patient’s place.
- Never sneeze, inside a swine flu patient’s room. Your sneeze would help the H1N1 virus to travel to other places of the room, and could infect others.
- Buy mineral water jar for your fluid requirements. If you cannot afford to buy a large can of mineral water, boil water before you drink.
- A high intake food of proteins and vitamins are required. You perhaps won’t like to eat meat, eggs or other protein rich food, if your family has a swine flu patient. Therefore, you are advised to eat vitamin and protein tablets to stay health and fit. Remember, a weak body is more prone to swine flu.
- Once your family member recovers from swine flu infection, still you need to keep all her belongings separately, and wash them at the earliest. Swine flu germs do not die soon. They may be hiding somewhere nearby. You need to continue the process for few days.
Finally, if you have slightest of doubts that any member of your house could be having swine flu infection, call doctors immediately to make sure of the nature of infection.
If your family member is infected from H1N1 virus, be careful and follow the above tips with care.

Swine flu is getting a lot of bad press. The H1N1 vaccine is thought to be safe except it can cause death. Whoops. People who get the flu do something wrong. I’ve never had the flu–swine, bird or other.

Hi VJ,
my tips will also help you to prevent swine flu from entering your house. Secondly, I have only stressed here the point of disease spreading once it strikes your family. What I have found is 70% of the victims get infected from immediate contacts, not necessarily the family contacts. It could be contacts at hospitals or any public place.
